Hello, my name is Cory Apperson, and I'm a software engineer with a background in Healthcare IT, and a passion for all things programming, technology, and how they can be used to improve our lives. My favorite part of coding is the puzzle element of problem solving, and getting to collaborate with other like-minded engineers.

Animal Rescue Adoption Platform

A web-based application designed for an animal rescue organization. The platform allows users to view available animals, search for specific types of animals, and apply for adoption. It is built using Node.js, Express, PostgreSQL, and Jade (Pug) as the templating engine, and uses microservices for CRUD operations, email notifications, user login and authentication, and distance calculations.
